The Clock Clinic Ltd was founded in 1971, moving to its present address after a couple of years. We are a small family run business with four full time employees, two of whom are fully qualified Clock and Watch makers and repairers with British Horological Institute certification. The premises include a fully equipped workshop with cleaning and polishing facilities, with cabinet work and barometer repairs undertaken elsewhere.
We carry a comprehensive stock of Antique Clocks from the 18th and 19th Centuries, specialising in English Longcase and Bracket Clocks, but with a selection of decorative French Mantel Clocks, Carriage Clocks and various Wall Clocks as well. In addition we stock a range of Antique Barometers of all types. All our clocks and barometers are fully overhauled and restored by our own craftsmen and come with a comprehensive years guarantee. In many circumstances clocks can be delivered to and set up in the new owner’s home, and we can also arrange shipping throughout the world.
We offer a range of services for customers own clocks, including full repair and restoration of both the mechanism and case, and barometers can be re-tubed and overhauled. We also do dial restoration and in addition we can prepare valuations for insurance. Many makes of watches can be repaired and overhauled. Estimates are free.
As well as the British Horological Institute we are members of the BADA, LAPADA and the British Watch and Clock makers Guild. Robert Pedler is a Liveryman of the Clockmakers Company.
We are situated in Putney, South West London, close to the start of the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, and convenient for public transport. Putney Mainline Station, with fast regular services to and from Waterloo, is about 15 minutes distance, and Putney Bridge, on the Wimbledon branch of the District Line, is about 10 minutes. There are parking meters nearby.
We are open Tuesday to Friday 9 – 6 and Saturday 9 – 1. In addition we exhibit at the Olympia Antiques Fair in November, and the BADA Fair in March. Ask for Rob or Jane Pedler.
