A stunning antique Edwardian mahogany eight day quarter chiming miniature longcase clock.

The solid mahogany case has a swan neck pediment and delicate boxwood inlay decorations.

Brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to the engraved and silvered chapter ring, time regulation below convex cartouche inscribed ‘Tempus Fugit’ (latin for Time Flies).

Triple barrels movement striking the quarters on a nest of blued steel gongs and the hours on further gong.

Excellent condition with a lovely rich colour to the mahogany. Some age related fading and minor marks consistent with age and use. The dial is bright and clean with only very minor marks. Movement runs well with a rich tone to the chimes.
