The solid mahogany case has a swan neck pediment and delicate boxwood inlay decorations.
Brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to the engraved and silvered chapter ring, time regulation below convex cartouche inscribed ‘Tempus Fugit’ (latin for Time Flies).
Triple barrels movement striking the quarters on a nest of blued steel gongs and the hours on further gong.
