English silver and leather desk clock with calendar

A delightful English silver-mounted leather desk clock with full calendar and rolling moon.  This stunning clock would look wonderful on a desk, bedside table or mantelpiece.

Circa 1900

The single barrel Swiss movement has a fully jewelled lever escapement. The leather case has a solid silver surround and solid silver monogram above a supported rear hinged strut. The inner case of nickel with adjustment push pieces for the calendar and surmounted by hanging bow and knurled winding crown. The white enamel dial has subsidiaries for month, date and days of the week, the subsidiary seconds with inset rolling moon phase indication.

Depth 1 1/2” (4 cm.)

This clock is in very good condition with only minor marks and some wear to the leather as can be expected of a clock of this period. The inner green lining has a rich colour some minor wear to the rear and a small rubbed and lacking patch to the front where the winding crown sits.

The clock has been fully serviced and is running well and keeps good time. The date functions work well and as they should. We expect a clock of this period to keep within +/- 6 minutes per day and will require winding and setting twice a week.

Serviced and guaranteed for one year.
