A handsome and stylish antique French brass striking four glass mantel clock.  The visible Brocot escapement to the fine two piece white enamel dial is an attractive feature, as well as the twin sealed mercury jar pendulum.

It has an attractive strike on the hour and half hour on a fine bell. The fully glazed case has the benefit of the owner being able to view the full workings of the clock movement.

The maker is S. Marti and Co, a maker of good renown who was based in Montbéliard, Eastern France.
