A very stylish vintage Omega Automatic Genève Dynamic wristwatch, Model Ref 166.039. Omega introduced the Ref. 166.039 Genève Dynamic in 1969 and this model is circa 1970.
The watch is made of steel oval brushed monocoque case with original Omega Hesalite glass, screw down strap retaining ring to the case back inscribed ‘Tool 107 Waterproof’ and steel generic crown. Powered by the automatic Omega calibre 565 with 24 jewels and precision regulation, this watch also has provision for quick date change.
The watch has a brilliant sunburst dial with date aperture at III, orange and black racing chapters and minute ring, white batton main hands and orange arrow seconds hand, signed ‘Omega, Automatic, Genève, Dynamic’.
Automatic calibre 565 movement with an aftermarket brown suede strap with Omega logo to buckle.
In excellent condition with only minor marks and surface scratches consistent with age and use. Some very fine surface scratches to the dial. The strap is of the correct Omega patterns and style and the buckle has the Omega logo, however it is an aftermarket replacement and not Omega. Omega no longer supplies straps for this style of watch and finding an unworn original is not possible. The movement has been fully cleaned and serviced. It runs well and keeps good time.
Please note: we do not guarantee the water resistance of any of our vintage watches.
