The Memomatic ref.166.072 was introduced by Omega in 1969. With a sizeable stainless steel case, measuring 40mm in width (excluding the crown), the case is detailed with a combination of satin and polished finishes. The model uses the highly complex Omega calibre 980 movement. Unusually the movement has a single barrel that controls the power for both the time and alarm functions. This means that the automatic rotor will provide all the power required for the watch to operate.
Stainless steel with leather strap
The case is in very good unpolished condition. The original sunburst grained finish is in good condition with only the expected light marks and surface scratches that are very typical for this model given its age and use. The case back again has general minor marks and surface scratches but no significant damages. The glass is original Omega Hesalite and has the Omega logo to the centre.
The dial is in good condition with only very minor marks. The hands are also in good condition.
The movement has been fully serviced and is running well and keeping good time. The alarm functions correctly and how it should.
Width: 40mm (excluding crown and pushers)
