Jaeger LeCoultre Mid Century Circular Desk Clock

A stunning Jaeger LeCoultre 8 day circular desk clock from the Mid Century era with a sun-shaped dial. The sun motif was prolific in the Art Deco era and was used as a symbol to cheer people up following the First World War and the Great Depression. Art Deco motifs made a resurgence in the 1960’s and the sun shaped dial on this clock reflects this new found popularity in Art Deco symbols.

The front and rear glasses are convex and shaped like a lens. The clock face can be angled up or down. If the clock is placed on a desk, it can be angled up to face you, or down if you prefer that position.
